[edit] Best Quotes

  • Melinda May: I'm not going back into the field.
Phil Coulson: Yeah, you have such a nice setup here. Ever thought about adding a moat?
  • Jemma Simmons: So, are you excited to be coming on our journey into mystery?
    Grant Ward: (deadpans) Like Christmas.
  • Phil Coulson: Hey, did you hear the one about the guy who's afraid of flying?
Grant Ward: I've done a dropzone under heavy fire, sir. I can handle it.
Phil Coulson: That was a joke. The first part of a... (sees Ward's look) Not gonna tell it now.
  • Skye: Billions of dollars of equipment at your disposal and I beat you with a laptop I won in a bet?
  • Grant Ward: You pseudo-anarchist hacker types love to stir things up, but you're never around for the fallout. People keep secrets for a reason, Skye.
Skye: Well, just because you're reasonable and... (pokes Ward's chest) ...firm, doesn't mean that you're not an evil, faceless government toolbag!
  • Phil Coulson: (referring to the truth serum injection) I'm sorry, did that hurt?
Grant Ward: No! You've lost your mind! You should never do that to a member of your team, and yes, it did hurt a little bit. But I always try to mask my pain in front of beautiful women in order to make me seem more masculine my god this stuff works fast!
  • Leo Fitz: So uh, when you get back, I'll show you my thing. (realizes) Uh thing, it's not... it's my hardware. My equipment! Let's... just hang up.
  • Phil Coulson: You all right?
Melinda May: We'll deal with that later. At length!
